He served as a Consultant and Head of Emergency Medicine Department, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, Ghana, during the crowing years of Emergency Care in Ghana and led the training of many specialised doctors and nurses, introduced and revamped regular teaching sessions, quality assurance programmes, and patient pathway processing redesign and reengineering.
He is driven by the challenge of applying new techniques and technologies to continuously improve patient care and management as well as the training of junior colleagues.
His current interests include the surgical management of soft tissue injuries, resuscitation, and the application of Information Communication Technology in the clinical environment.
Dr Oduro has led many research projects in Ghana and worldwide, with many publications to his name.
