Oral Presentation Instructions
Oral presentations are live sessions of 90-120 minutes moderated by a chairperson. The presentations are 12-15 minutes, which may not be exceeded. There are a maximum of 5 presentations in each oral session.
The exact date of presentation and time will be provided in due course and will also be available on the website from 15th October. Kindly use your Abstract ID as reference.
Your slides:
- For 15 minutes of presentation, you can prepare around 15 (maximum 20) slides in PowerPoint, including the introduction and end slide.
- Please don’t forget to take an extra copy of your presentation to Accra (USB-stick and send it to your e-mail address).
- Be sure that the PowerPoint slides have the same layout all way through. You are advised to use our template. Click here to download the template.
- Observe that the content of each slide is not too detailed. The possibilities of animations are numerous. Please do not exaggerate.
- Graphs and figures are often better than tables at an oral presentation. Flow charts are very appropriate to describe material.
- If you wish to add films or other sorts of interactive materials, please include these in the presentation (do not access them through internet, as this may not work to your satisfaction) and inform the AfCEM2022 Conference Secretariat beforehand.

Technical information:
- Presentation will only be received via the upload portal and not on-site. The Speaker Room at the conference venue will provide a working space for presenters to make final changes to slides. Technical assistance is available.
- Kindly save your presentation using your Abstract ID as afcem2022oral###
- Your slides should have an aspect ratio of 16:9 (wide screen)
- Every room is equipped with a (digital) screen/ projector and a public address system. Please make sure you are in your breakout room at least 15mins before the session starts to ensure your presentation in loaded and to familiarize yourself with the room and equipment.

E-poster Presentation Instructions
E-posters are organised into conference tracks (topics) and displayed electronically. They can be viewed by delegates at any time as they are displayed throughout the whole conference. Each set of posters will be displayed on a specific day of the conference with a maximum of 6 posters per large screen and changes every 2-3mins.
E-posters will be presented in 5mins moderated sessions on specific dates.

All presenters are advised to use AfCEM2022 template for the e-poster
Here are some tips on how to prepare your poster:
- Avoid long sentences but try to make all your text messages in short points.
- Avoid detailed tables but try to illustrate your results in graphs and flow charts.
- Colours can be used to stress certain sections, but do not exaggerate.
- Films and other interactive material or animations are not possible.
- Hyperlinks will be non-functioning.

Technical information:
- Posters will be displayed in LANDSCAPE (not portrait) only
- Poster size in cm: 81.28 width x 45.72 height in ppt (use AfCEM2022 template)
- Kindly save file in both ppt and jpeg (high resolution) formats
- Kindly save your presentation using your Abstract ID as afcem2022poster###
- An uploading system will be used to upload all e-posters. You are advised to upload both the ppt and jpeg versions. Please upload your e-poster by the 10th of November 2022.
